“Chinese Bridge” Principals' Tour to China

This program supports school principals, educational officials, Chinese language program directors, and those who run or plan to run Chinese language programs, to visit China. It helps organizations establish or promote Chinese language programs, facilitates the establishment of language exchange partnerships between Chinese and foreign schools, and enhances the understanding of Chinese language and culture among people from all walks of life. During a trip of a week or so to China, participants will have the opportunity to participate in education seminars, attend lectures on Chinese language and culture, visit local schools in different cities, learn about China, and have exchanges and interaction with Chinese educators.

CLEC welcomes application from Chinese and foreign institutions and schools to co-organize Principals’ Tours of a particular country/region. Travel expenses, international insurance, visas and other expenses will be covered by participants themselves; in-country accommodation, food, transportation and group activities will be provided by CLEC and the co-organizers.

“Chinese Bridge” Summer Camps for Foreign Students

This program aims to promote the understanding of Chinese language and culture for high school and college students from all over the world, enhance friendly exchanges between Chinese and foreign students, and develop their passion for learning Chinese. The two-week summer camp offers Chinese language lessons, cultural experience activities and a variety of exchange programs for the participants.

Travel expenses, international insurance, visas and other expenses will be covered by participants themselves; in-country accommodation, food, transportation and group activities will be provided by CLEC and the co-organizers.

This is an application-based program. Chinese institutions or schools may apply to the CLEC to serve as co-organizers and host unit of the summer camps. The CLEC also welcomes applications from international institutions and students.
